HOW "of memories and hopes" WAS CONCEIVED AND RECORDED: "This is a short story of a man who tries to realize if the life he has fought for is really what he was looking for. So, one morning he decides to take an 8-day break from the everyday life, to reflect on what he has become, cause what he really wants as a human being, is just a little infinite shiny ray of true warm serenety."

- REVIEWS UP TO JUNE 2020 -

SoWhat (IT), Review by Peppe Trotta, June 2020. "Rethinking ourselves to obtain a full perception of our own life. It's once again from pause and isolation that new Lorenzo Bracaloni's sonic journey (under the monicker of Fallen), after the intimate immersion with his previous album "The World Outside", takes now the shape of a narrative flow that traces the long week of a man who reflects on his place in the world. Even more cinematic, though less enchanting and evocative than the previous musical trajectory published at the beginning of this year, this new resonant plot proposed by Bracaloni leads to equally reflective horizons defined by a swinging weaving of dynamic pulsating sequences ("The Awakwening", "Taking A Walk By The River") and to placid atmospheric lowlands ("Room With A View","Cloud Never Lies") veiled by soft restlessness ("The Man I Am","Empty Streets"). It's a cautious flow of sounds that at times have the preminent flavor of a time gone by and whose strength lies in the cohesive development of a clear and complete vision."

Kaninhal (US), June 2020. "A Lontano Series release was the first ever feature on Kaninhal and as label head Andrea Procu continues to deliver treats for the ears, a recent offering from Fallen (AKA Lorenzo Bracaloni) once again stands out. ‘Of memories of hopes’ is an eight track album, soundtracking the story of a man who sets about attempting to understand his life and confirm whether the life he has fought for is really what he wants. He decides to take an eight day break, to reconnect with himself and what makes him human. Powerful stuff, especially when considering current circumstances and a story i’m sure many of us can draw parallels with. Bracaloni impresses with his ability to convey emotions throughout each of the compositions. For example, ‘The Man I Am’ projects feelings of melancholy and reflection, whereas ‘Room with a View’ feels hopeful and uplifting. A real class act of a release." www.kaninhal.com?fbclid=IwAR2shfECd2KNanKgXKl8eqrisxroftQbO21D16ffavOiUakuOyrnkUC8BFg

Sequenzerwelten (GER), Review by Uwe Saße, May 2020. "Is the life we fought for really what we were looking for? Just a few weeks after -The World Outside- Lorenzo has released the wonderful album -Of Memories And Hopes- which looks for an answer to the question above.Well, the question will really be answered only by author's music. It's again a very nicely implemented work that Lorenzo Bracaloni has created in his inimitable way. Therefore, this cd is a "must have" for relaxed ambient music fans. In short: "Balsam for the soul"! www.sequenzerwelten.de/fallen_main.html

Drifting Almost Falling (UK), May 2020. "This second release for 2019 comes on the ROHS!/Lontano Series label and once more comes with a theme attached to it. To a certain degree they are still here, but what we are getting in totality is an artist that seems to be hitting his stride with his music. Some ambient releases can be fairly one dimensional, but on these two Bracaloni has expanded his vision and his use of elements to create widescreen, more open pieces that are epic in nature. All bar one track exceeds six minutes in length which allows Bracaloni to explore his music and make it more filmic. Again the sound is highly impressive, with mastering and mixing done by the artist himself and you won’t find better sounding releases." driftingalmostfalling.wordpress.com/2020/05/22/the-catch-up/

OndaRock (IT), Review by Valerio D'Onofrio, May 2020. "Here we are with Fallen’s 2nd Lp of 2020, the ambient project of Lorenzo Bracaloni of which we have learned to appreciate in the recent years releases like "ást" (2018), "Tout Est Silencieux" (2018) or "When The Light Went Out" (2019). "Of Memories And Hopes" opens, together with its predecessor "The World Outside" (2020), a new path in Bracaloni's discography. A turning point on new age paths, in search of balance and inner peace, with harmonious and ecstatic sounds that remove any fear or roughness. A concept album: the history of a man who reflects on his own existence, if the life he is living is really the one he was born for or if he’s living another man’s life. To do this, a break from the chaos of everyday life is necessary as the silence and the solitude are coveted in every Bracaloni’s album. In a sense, Fallen project’s music is anti-historical, it runs against nowdays mood, against a river in full pumped up by social media, WhatsApp and loud screams of radio and TV. Eight songs that represent eight days of reflection, ranging from the pulsating morning mood of " The Awakening”, to the new age rhythms of "Taking A Walk By The River " to be reborn from chaos till review ourselves, from the empty streets till back home ("Empty Streets ","On The Way Back Home", the most engaging moment here). Piano, synths and processed guitars that develop an interesting starting idea, although the music isn’t certainly not innovative, but it's developed in its various phases." www.ondarock.it/recensioni/2020-fallen-ofmemoriesandhopes.htm

Crampi2wordpress (IT), Review by Marcello Berlich, May 2020. "This is the second album of the year for Fallen. Eight compositions for eight days, which want to tell us the pause for reflection of a man who reckon with the past, reflecting on what to want from the future. Content here (all instrumentals as usual for the author) continues to be rooted in dilated sonorities and ambient suggestions, with piano, synthesizers and guitars to weave plots basing on carpets and inserts taken from 'reality'; the impressionist matrix remains firm. Sounds ariety is still getting richer, giving life to less 'monolithic' pieces, with soundtrack accents and some 'dream pop' hints scattered here and there." crampi2.wordpress.com/2020/05/17/fallen-of-memories-and-hopes-rohs-records/?fbclid=IwAR3HbLsIeqxSttzEN2-_pCmsKpH1qv-aQ0xjT6CdZ_W4VgyFHg8rtPwMYXM
