Notes: “I wrote and composed “The Earth Cries Blood” in a very difficult period of my life. This is a very autobiographic record where my person is laid bare as never before. The album tells of memories, sensations, vivid dreams, despair, sin, hope, colors, life, death, youth, deterioration. Recorded in a corner of my house, on the sidelines, with the sleek turned to the cold window, this work expresses a necessary parallel between Man’s Sufferings, solitary and suspicious and Mother Earth’s Sufferings always more torn and vicious. Thus, the Man cries Blood and Mother Earth cries blood in a circle unique and indissoluble.”

The album provides an inspiration that allows one to convert musical notes and flawless tunes to thoughtful visions and inspiration sceneries / images.
“Remembrances”. “Journeys Solitude and Loss”, “Leaving This Place” and “Black Storms Fly High” are the major high on this release as it brings a strong feel of freedom and open road. That in mind the entire album is a calm, refreshing and musically-seductive on a grand level. Personally I think “The Earth Cries Blood” is THE most prominent work from [ The Child Of A Creek ]. There’s a great tension in this record. Among all sorts of guitars, organ, electric piano, synthesizers and so on, we can say that the instrumental palette of Child Of A Creek is truly enviable. Plus there's his voice, always an added value, between echoes and reverbs which can recall moments in a kindred spirit as Alexander Tucker. “Morning Comes” is an extraordinary opening song and a dazzling anthem, as in the more poignant westcoast kiss. A level of emotion that a heavily produced album just wouldn’t be able to muster, but here, with the gentle guitar picking and the thoughtful vocals. The Child of a Creek (Lorenzo Bracaloni) has been perfecting this art over five albums. Each song builds on this very simple formula, minimal atmospherics surround Lorenzo as he performs each track and builds a very international sound. . This is done with maturity, and a feeling that the music comes first no matter what, and by doing this he has managed to produce an album that, as well as been expansive, also feels incredibly personal and insular. The central theme is the acoustic guitar, which frequently interwoven with the electric guitar: solos and melodic sounds run on a background of soft tones created with synthesizer, piano, organ, flute and string arrangements. The lyrics, autobiographical, are stories of despair, desire, remembrances and they recount the experiences of his youth. Lorenzo expands the boundaries of psychedelic folk with Prog thoughts, especially in Remembrances with its multiple voices and more in "My Will to Live," are two good examples. Lorenzo Bracaloni, aka The Child of A Creek has now released via Seahorse Recordings his new intense album. With his rarefied and psychedelic sounds, the author from Livorno keeps going ahead with his growing path. In contrast to the early work that painted the Nature’s landscapes, with this new “The Earth Cries Blood” Bracaloni seems to go beyond going to lay out the findings and loops instead of the soul. The nature, the environment, the "earth crying blood" seems to no longer be the main subjects of the songs but the most effective metaphors to describe human sufferings. . Enhanced by the female voice of Pantaleimon (already with Current 93) in the song “Don’t Cry to the Moon”, the whole album is very notable for its elegance and size of sounds, always rich and varied and essential at the same time.
