-REVIEWS UP TODAY-

"Beautiful, dreamy and delightful to simply sink into Sonnambuli from Fallen aka Lorenzo Brancaloni is in its complex simplicity, offering an entrance into a dream that is built around, once again the beautiful poetry he creates with the names of the seven track. The sound is light, synonymous of Brancaloni in a reflective mood, somewhat pensive at times as he floats or walks through the dream state, encouraging the dreamer, the traveller to simply remain within the space they are, which begins with Sonnambuli I: Don’t Open Your eyes. Gentle pulsating sound allows the dreamer to move from the daily hustle into the magical space that can take you anywhere you choose. Definite moments indicate a gate or pathway to be followed, to enter the realm of your imagination and is perfect, at 6minute 45 seconds for a short moment of relaxation in a busy day. Moving on through Sonnambuli II: Smell the Scent of the Night, is an evocative piece bringing with it the sent which can be discovered only as night falls and the earth releases its soft perfume. Sonnambuli III: The Mist Outdoors makes the perfect continuum in the sensory perception that is being developed. Sonnambuli III: Walking through the Old Forrest is somewhat brooding, slightly haunting and interesting in the use of percussive effects as a sense of caution, of looking for the ghosts who may inhabited the forest is being developed whereas SonnambuliI V: Wise Owls, Close Stars changes the emotion of the gentle drifting to a more alert, almost confrontational sound which is unexpected considering the mellow flow of the previous tracks. Following on is Sonnambuli VI: Half Moon’s Lullaby once again beautiful melody that enchants, capturing the mystique that surrounds the moon, captured with a lovely up-tempo feeling that still holds gentle emotion. Silence, peace and contemplation give way to the final piece Sonnambuli VII: Still Dreaming which once again at nearly 10 minute in length makes a perfect piece for a quick meditation or reflective moment. It drifts into being with a slightly more sombre style of a slower, deeper, brooding vibration which in itself is really quite beautiful, containing within the spectrum, rich, immensely powerful emotion. Once again Fallen has reached deep into the emotions to create and captive with a rich, reflective, series of tracks which is absolutely sublime. "A new, seven track album from Lorenzo Bracaloni a.k.a. The Child of A Creek/Fallen comes a bit as a surprise in the most positive way. On the outside we have a bit of neo classical with ambient music. But since we are dealing with an established and experienced musician - all the influences and labels don't really play any major role here. Lorenzo worked out for himself not only his own formula but a highly sophisticated voice and high level quality - in many areas. There is a high level of musicality here - it speaks for itself - you don't necessarily have to be a person dipped into the etheric world of dreamy ambient to appreciate the melancholy and lyricality of this album. It can be your own soundtrack for the times of reflective mood swings and emotional shifts. It's tonal and has quite distinctive themes that could be easily used as an illustrative factor. The quality of the sound design and production is just blissful - it makes you appreciate the contents of the album even more. It's inviting and embracing you as a listener. The quality of the contents itself is just impossible, It feels poetic and unique, not as something that is easily forgotten or omitted. I am not sure how it works with some of the bodies of work but it is definitely one of the albums where you feel cathartic aspect of music that goes beyond anything just relaxing and soothing. I can only congratulate Lorenzo who is a hard working creator and facilitator of intimacy that is very rare in music these days. Thank you" (Felthat Reviews, UK, April 2023, review by Hubert Heathertoes) felthatreviews.blogspot.com/2023/04/the-child-of-creek-fallen-sonnambuli.html?fbclid=IwAR3hkMygfYbmpata-YrH4_h_dqP3NUJKezRvr_8czLRJlTTcFTDNE5A-LbU

"Lorenzo Bracaloni's Fallen project, which is equally capable of saving folk- and neoclassical-inspired environments for a brighter future, could fit this. That is to say of the concentration and lightness in the heaviness, like in all of Bracaloni's works and also on Sonnambuli (Shimmering Moods, March 17), the simple and somewhat fleeting piano fragments, sharpened by the elaboration of the sound, the low-pitched bass rhythm and dark diffused reverb surfaces into something's special. The secret here is passion and devotion: to the slow, the simple, the beautiful." (Groove.de, GER, April 2023, review by Franck Eckert, April 2023 column - 3rd page) groove.de/2023/04/12/motherboard-april-2023/?fbclid=IwAR2mNPqrxs_gWD6l-bBrIUqQG8UnxNi7J9MPMHSnZjo1KON1lUFvdQMHOs0

"Italy is a country with many cultural faces where you can also discover a variety of underground soundscapes. From post rock, extreme metal, dark ambient, experimental to ambient. Under the monicker of Fallen, an interesting project for which the multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Bracaloni is responsible for. Lorenzo also has a past as a folksinger and musician as The Child Of A Creek. His ambient and experimental project Fallen began in 2015. This cannot help but bringing however to mind Bracaloni's dreamy and detailed electronic harmonies, occasionally touching the film's music by Frenchman Eric Serra. The album title Sonnambuli means 'sleepwalkers', which completely narrates the sound. The music creates an assortment of hypnotic tingles, where the listener can get lost in an enigmatic sonic cloud with healing sonic colors. With Sonnambuli, Bracaloni demonstrates that the ambient genre is not yet at the end of its journey. The alluring soundscapes are masterfully finished with experimental layers of creeping echoes and minimal electronic flair. The wisdom of life, inspiration, talent and technology create an enjoyable ambient album with a lot to discover." "Fallen: to keep dreaming in order not to die - Five months after the releasing of Moonlight Romance, the musician and composer from Livorno Lorenzo Bracaloni is back with his ambient project with a new album, "Sonnambuli", released for the Dutch label Shimmering Moods Records. Paraphrasing the words of Friedrich Nietzsche «I have to keep dreaming, in order not to die», Sonnambuli is a dreamlike sound tale that takes us on an intense journey to soft harmonies, muffled frequencies and abrasive caresses. Fallen gives an ambient sound interpretation that is nothing short of evocative, tenderly touching, with the seven tracks of the disc that emerge slowly in a calm succession of rarefied notes, arriving during their journey to touch impressive peaks. "Sonnambuli" comes with an amazing richness of sound while playing like a soft monolith: for example, the first track Don't Open Your Eyes is a floating stream full of sonic debris with hypnotic pulsations, every element from piano notes to vocal samples they interact with each other by participating in a collective ritual pervaded by a deep sense of mystery. With Smell the Scent of Night deep and dark spaces open up to the sound of layers of synthesizers and ambient afflatus, a cathartic sound ripped apart by the delicate piano melodies. A wall of low frequencies that fades through the obsessive but light metallic rhythm giving shape to a captivating and elaborate song. In Walking through the Old Forest Bracaloni blends a sense of tension, generated by the guitar vibrant with a sense of sweetness given by the soft drone layers, a nice contrast that finishes to give life to an exhilarating production, enlivened by a minimal but persistent rhythm. The album reaches its climax with Half Moon's Lullaby, the sixth track is obtained by interweaving the delicate melodies of the acoustic guitar with a sparkling electronic beat with which Fallen pushes beyond his comfort zone. Highly recommended for fans of elegant tones and ambient sounds, "Sonnambuli" continues in the wake of the previous Moonlight Romance by giving us a Fallen in a state of grace."
